Monday..."moon day"

I had a teacher that used to say that his favorite day was Monday.  At the time, I thought he was absolutely mad.  Actually, a decade or so after high school, it was confirmed.  He now rests in a padded room somewhere outside Nashville.  Not claiming lunacy (that's a given), but I LOVE Mondays, too!!  The word Monday derives from the Middle English "monedaei" between 1000 and 1200, translated "moon day".  The placement of "moon day" is second to Sunday...or "sun day".  Sunday and Monday's  pagan beginnings honor the sun and moon...being "father" and "mother"   The Roman pagan goddess, Luna (or Diana) is given the honor of bearing the name...and all the science, history, mythology, and superstitions associated with the moon.

Okay, so maybe I'm a bit of a lunatic.  Anyway, to start the week off right, I found my new "Happy Moon Day" dance...
